With this mission, our environmental objectives are to:

Enhance biodiversity and environmental resilience, in particular, but not exclusively, by improving the ecological health of Bilbster Forest through sustainable, low impact woodland management that increases habitat diversity and long-term environmental resilience.

Develop sustainable natural resource use by managing woodland resources

responsibly supporting sustainable timber production and other forest products and generating local employment and contributing to a greener rural economy.

With this mission, our social objectives are to:

Strengthen community wellbeing and engagement by providing opportunities for outdoor access, learning, and community involvement by developing accessible woodland spaces and working with local groups, schools, and residents.

Help alleviate local challenges such as fuel poverty by making sustainable forest derived resources more accessible to the community.

Support arts and cultural activity within the forest that enhances community identity, wellbeing, and connection to the natural environment.

Minimise the carbon footprint of operations, reduce fossil fuel reliance, and contribute positively to climate mitigation and adaptation.

Work with local landowners, farmers, and partners to expand habitat corridors and improve ecological connectivity within the wider landscape.

Advance such similar objects, promote, establish, operate and/or support others in and develop any other projects, initiatives or activities as the Directors may consider

appropriate.
